Rain

Morning larks
And sparrows sing
Wondering if the early light
Casts illusions across the sky
‘What a charming day’
The birds would sing
As their meals tend to run away
‘What a pretty sight’
The butterflies would mutter
Before they ran away
And look how devastated
And how far
Their cheerful smiles
And overall demeanor
Would fall
At the mention of
Rain
